Since moving to the north end of London in 2011, my family has started to frequent this restaurant. The staff is always pleasant. Have never had poor service in the year that we've been going. Breakfast is good, except sometimes the homefries are a bit cold/frozen. The specials at dinner are a reasonable price for all that you get. Wish they would have the ride pudding heated like they used to!
When we were told of this place we were expecting greater things. When we arrived we were able to seat ourselves ( 9:20 am Sunday) . The place seemed busy and before long there was a wait to get seated. Our server seemed like she enjoyed working there which make a place to eat a little nicer. Our Beverage order was taken quickly and was returned just as fast although they should pay just a little more attention to those who drink Coffee as to refill their cup cause by the time my Wife wanted a second cup we were done our meal and ready to go.
Our Breakfast order was taken quickly and returned to us in short order........we both had Western Sandwiches, one with cheese and One without ,toasted and with a slice of Dill Pickle each. When One orders the sandwich toasted you expect it to be kinda crunchie from being toasted......not these sandwiches, they were just a little more than warmed bread with a slight coloring on the outside.....although the filling was HOT and good to taste, it was the toast that left a lot to be desired. The slice of dill was crispy and very dilly indeed a plus for me since I LOVE DILL.
Richies is also just a bit pricey for just breakfast in comparasion to the other places we try out........Nothing special about this place, we had time to kill so we tried it out
Been going here for many years. Great diner food with good service. Never had a bad meal. And dig those retro milkshakes they serve - they even have the old school milkshake machine to make them.
A nice restaurant to dine in when you want to feel relaxed. The staff is terrific and the food very good. Service is friendly and the prices are fair. We like going here quite a bit.
It was just breakfast, and we were hungover.

Ok. So bacon and eggs and home-fries for me. Pancakes and side of bacon for her. And lots of coffee. The coffee was served fast and hot, and so was the food. Eggs were done perfectly (over easy but not too runny) and the bacon was nice and crisp without being burned. The homefries are fried up with a bit of cheese to really add punch. Excellent and a really cheap meal.
A mixed review. He loves it there. She could take it or leave it. Nothing fancy about the burgers, just frozen patties. He likes it there because it's homey. He also likes that, overall, the food tastes good because most of it is homemade and you get an awesome 'grilled' or smoky taste from their grill, kind of like a well used cast iron frying pan or BBQ. The portions are adequate, not huge. The breakfast crowd has a big turnout and there are lots of seniors there too. Service is very good, fast, and efficient. I didn't think the cashier owner was overly friendly, sorry! We go there because parking is easy and it's close with half decent food and service is good. Been there for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is ok, I think the Greek omlette needs to have olives to be more Greek??? Just tomato and feta makes it seem lacking. The souvlaki is ok, rice pudding nothing special -- needs more vanilla, less sugar, and more cream??? Anyway he likes it there and no one has to cook or do dishes, so, I guess we'll be back.
