The Mill was built in 1859 by a Scottish immigrant named George McLean. The village of Aberfoyle was named after a small village below the Trossachs mountains, about 40 km north of Glasgow, by another Scottsman named George MacFarlane. The Mill Originally functioned as a grist mill, powered by the pond situated at the back of the building. Solid service, fabulous wine selection, high quality food. Great meal! A little too loud and too busy - had to wait for a table and had to park across the road.

Decent Food but honestly service was simply not there. We felt like we were being pushed out to make way for more people. They should not be trying to cram as many people in as possible if they cannot provide proper service to them.
Our food was alright, very good caesar salad. However, our waiter was inept. He seemed to think he was quite charming though, but he was just annoying. Although he was around, he didn't seem to notice that our first round of drinks were piled on the table empty for over an hour, and did not care to ask us if we wanted more. We ended up making a game of it, to see how long it would take to get service. Some people there seemed angry. Drive by and into Guelph to dine.
