The food is amazing and the service is great. Best restaurant in town!!
Under new ownership as of May 2017 Great new menu and service!!
Great value for the money. Staff made you feel welcome and did not rush us. We went on prime rib night and especially enjoyed the large & delicious yorkshires. Definately will return.
Had a great experience at David's, our server (Drew) was very nice and helpful, speedy considering she was one of only a few waitresses on a busy night. We ordered French Onion Soup, which was delicious. For the main course we split the chicken Parm, which was quite awesome, the pasta was 10/10, the chicken batter was a tad bit thick. There was also complimentary bread with the meal which was awesome! For desert we had the Creme Brule, which rocked, best creme Brule we've ever had. To drink my wife ordered a Crispy Crunch Martini (from their list) and it was delicious, I had a wellington Dark.
I was also concerned when i read previous reviews. Here are the FACTS folks. The place is clean, the decor is warm, inviting & comfortable. The staff were very pleasant. The food was not only very good but exceptional value. Everyone enjoyed their meal from Ceasar & Tuscany salads to french onion soup. The Steaks, Gnoccni Primavera were very good. They served warm fresh bread and brought a second generous basket, both at no charge. I don't believe those who say the food and/or service was bad. We found the opposite to be the case. The meal and wine price's were well under comparable Orangeville Restaurants. We are going back again and would recommend this place to any of our friends.
We were nervous about dining at David's after reading the reviews as they were very mixed, but we really wanted to try this local place. Our experience was a good one. The food, service and atmoshere were all very good. It was clean and our waitress was very friendly. We are going back for a theme night and dinner in a couple of weeks. They have a theatre night, a band or Yuk Yuk's. I think we will try them all. We have eaten in hundreds of restaurants in many countries all over the world. I would enjoy a local meal here again...noooooo problem.
It was a great night out with family! We live in Erin and are very lucky to have this restaurant. I (and the family) loved it! Great time had by all and I can't wait to go back. Great staff, Great food!
We went for the 60's band night. Band was great. Food was somewhat worse than what you'd get in a high school cafeteria. I was insulted they would serve us the food they put out.
Reservation made for 7 pm due to wedding.Good reception, quick response to drinks & appetizer(excellent). Placed orders.Received food approx 1.5 hrs later after other later patrons had received entrees. Softened us up free round of drinks. Liver returned due to cold & bad taste. Ribs crusty & rubbery. Potatoes refridgerator cold on 2 meals. Ignored desserts, paid bill never to return
YUK YUK/DINNER SHOW AND BUFFETT WHAT A WONDERFUL EVENING. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC, VERY TASY AND LOTS OF IT. THE CHOICES WERE EXCELLENT. THE SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING. EXTREMELY LIKELY TO RECOMMEND TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THANKS A MILLION
This is a great restaraunt I will come again nd again the service was great and very helpfull
brutal! I asked to see their 'new' advertised martini list-they didn't have one-the server didn't know any. The server didn't know what scotches they carried-had to ask (they had only 4). The bottled wine service-the server started out well up to the taste test, then plunked the bottle in the middle of the table without pouring the wine for anyone. The creme brulee had at least a full 1/2 inch of sugar on top-which was had a 'bruleed' top but the remainder was uncooked and unpleasant. The creme was like vanilla pudding-yech!!!
A restaurant that I frequent quite often as it's quite close to home. I have dined there a couple dozen of times. The food is very nice and consistent, often the specials are fantastic. One of the most popular and tasty dishes, which never leaves the menu, is the chicken penne, a lovely combination of flavours. The portions are generous in all the dishes, enough for the hardy appetite. The owner should be congratulated on changing the menu quite often, which is a bonus for us locals. The wine list is well-thought out with something for everyone and keeps bottles that are trendy and current (Wolf Blass) and a few that aren't for those who want to try something different (Chilean). Ninety percent of the time the service is attentive and very friendly but occassionally suffers from understaffing. Overall it's a wonderful restaurant that we are lucky to have here in Erin.
A great local restuarant with simple yet very satisfying, canadian style cuisine. Half price pasta night is a must for locals. Service was quick, ambiance was good, and the food was scrumptious! 9/10
Good food. We went on all-you-can-eat mussel night. Really good.
chicken well done, veg. / potatoes bland fried banana desert mushy, cheesecake store bought, small serving with drizzeled chocolate on plate
Dinner was not good at all. Boiled vegetables for $30 a plate? And they were overcooked. Roast beef was also overdone. The cheesecake was a cheap boxed "New-York" style, and was still partially frozen on the inside. While the waitresses were nice and pleasant, it was obvious they were understaffed.
On 4 seperate occassions for Yuk Yuk's and Murder Mystery, etc, etc, evenings, we had a large group go to the Buffet dinner and show events and on all 4 occassions there is never proper preperation "buffet is buffet" as a fine dining/ catering Restaraunt there should always be more than enough food for everyone, people should not feel that they need to grab and fill their plates including get dessert all at once because there may not be any left when they go back up, which is exactly what has happened in our cases, therefore we will never attend another event, you would think after being told this specifically, they would learn. The waitresses are fabulous but, if the owner doesn't want to make sure there is enough food for a full house, it should not be called a buffet.
Completely unsanitary. The kitchen is disgusting. If it were an open kitchen, it would be shut down within a week. Bleach dishes to hide stains. The food is extremely overpriced for the amount they give, and the quality of it. All of the deserts are pre-made store bought. Very small servings. I do NOT recomend wasting your time, and money stopping at this restaurant. Only thing it has going for it is it's waiting staff, and even then, they are often under manned.
