Food was incredible!! Best tandoori chicken around.. Great naan.. Going back soon to try the Butter chicken!! Also had amazing chicken tikka masala, and chili chicken. Tons of flavour explosion your mouth! Does not look appealing from the outside. But food makes up for it!

Not too sure what happened with what I ordered, which was supposed to be Chicken Korma....it was more like mild butter chicken...good, but not what I expected. The samosas were AMAZING and the service was AMAZING as well. Will definately go back there!

I'm so glad to see Grain of Salt on Restaurantica...

I'm so glad to see Grain of Salt on Restaurantica now. This restaurant has been on our weekly rotation for over a year. My husband and I usually go every Friday night for our 'Indian Fix', and it's the highlight of my week. With no less than 50 visits under our belts, we have not once left disappointed. It's not often you can say that for a restaurant these days. We love Indian food, and this is the real deal. The food is SUPERB. By far the best you'll find this side of Toronto. Each dish is meticulously prepared with its own distinctive flavours and textures, and no matter how often you go, the quality and taste is consistent. My husband always has the Lamb Vindaloo, and they make it extra spicy for him. I've tried many dishes, and they're all fantastic, but the Chicken Tikka Masala is my favourite. Rice is cooked to perfection, and the Garlic Naan is to die for! Honestly, if you have nothing else, try the Garlic Naan! The atmosphere is warm and quaint with a homey, authentic feel, and you will enjoy Indian music playing softly in the background. We love it. The service is always excellent. The guys work very hard to make you happy from the minute you walk in the door. I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant. If you love Indian food, you must try this place. You will not be disappointed!

From the outside it doesn't look very promising...

From the outside it doesn't look very promising, and you can tell the menu was written by someone with English as a second language (the gulab jamun is described as "lustrous" and the garlic naan is "stylish Indian bread") but my sister had heard the food was really good. She heard right. We ordered the Sab ek Saath which is an appetizer platter with Chicken Pakora, Vegetable Samosa, Potatoes Pakora, Onion Bhajia and Spinach Pakora. It was very good, especially the samosa. Nice and crispy, not at all greasy or over-fried. I had the Shrimp Korma, and was impressed. I have had it at another restaurant but this was much better. The sauce was creamy and delicious with a hint of sweetness, and nice big juicy shrimp. It came very hot, which I liked. I'd rather have to wait a minute to start eating than be served lukewarm food. It didn't look like a lot of food when it came, but it was very filling. My sister tried the Chicken Jalfrazi and really enjoyed it as well.
