I was really upset when near the end of our dinner we found people standing around us waiting for our table. One lady asked for our table and one man with his son sat down right next to me on the couch seat waiting for me to leave. There were people all over watching you finish so they could grab your seat. I felt sorry for the people waiting their turn at the front desk. This is a safety issue as there were too many people in that small area standing around. I felt hurried and harassed.Where was the manager and why did they allow the people to be there and not wait at the front door???
We all ordered at the same time and I guess my chicken ceaser salad came up first and so the waitress brought it out and said the other stuff would be out in a minute.... We waited 10 MINUTES!! They should know that your suppose to bring out the meals TOGETHER!!! and the chicken was dry!!
Service was extremely slow. The food arrived 35 minutes after we had placed orders. One order was not completed at all even after 1 hour of waiting. The girl had to take it out to eat at her desk after. Food was not so great. For the price they charged we expected more. Definitely I am not going again including all the people in our group.
Our family has been going to Chaps Fairview St for many years. We have been to the new location twice. The first time we felt the poor service and poor food was due to new location nerves. Tonight, it was the same thing. The excuse from the waitress for not having any specials is "that we just opened." Chaps wings and ribs were mediocre at best the last few times we have been.The servers do not know how to say "your welcome". I guess "no problem" is the way to reply to someone when they say thank you at this location. Service was overall poor.
I doubt we will return to Chaps. Too bad, it used to be a reliable, good restaurant.
