What’s a long weekend without fireworks festivities? Luckily there are several displays in the works for Victoria Day! You can stay right downtown and check out a show, or pack up the car and head outside city limits for a long weekend getaway. Check out where to see fireworks in Toronto and the GTA on Victoria Day. Canada’s Wonderland’s fireworks show starts at 10 pm, right when the park closes. You can spend the day riding roller coasters, and then enjoy the fireworks display over Wonder Mountain.
The biggest fireworks event happens every year at Ashbridge’s Bay. The display lasts about 15 minutes. Get there early to snag a good spot on the beach – it’s always crowded!
The Victoria Day Speedfest is a chance to watch the races – the Canadian Touring Car Championship, the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada by Yokohama and the Nissan Micra Cup Series, to be exact – but also to catch a fireworks show. The fireworks start at dusk.
Sure, Niagara Falls has a fireworks show every day in the summer, but the Victoria Day show is extra special. The six-minute display happens right over the falls, and is a majestic way to kick off summer.
Just outside the GTA, Hamilton’s fireworks show is a proper celebration with live music and food trucks. The event starts at 6 pm and runs until 10 pm, with the fireworks starting at 9:30 pm
It’s not exactly a fireworks show, but Ontario Place will have a Drone Show on Victoria Day weekend! The grounds are open for the Culinary Ontario Festival, so you can enjoy some local eats before taking in the choreographed drone show at night.
