Vancouver Christmas Market

Get in the holiday spirit with festive bites, warm sips and more at the Vancouver Christmas Market. Featuring more than 75 vendors, you’ll find a merry selection of authentic German eats (like sausages, Spätzle, beer, mulled wine and more) alongside classic Canadian and international fare at this annual crowd-pleasing event. Take a selfie while you nosh on a pretzel, ride the Christmas carousel or just enjoy that warm holiday glow while you fill your belly.

  • When: Wednesday November 22nd to Sunday December 23rd from 11 am to 9 pm and December 24th from 11 am to 6 pm
  • Where: Jack Poole Plaza (1055 Canada Place, by the Olympic Cauldron)
  • Price: $10 for adults, free for children under 6

Decorate & Bake with The Uncommon Café and Tartine & Maple

Get a head start on your holiday baking with an afternoon of decorating cookies at The Uncommon Café. Perfect for all ability levels, this class has all the tools, supplies and help you need to create scrumptious holiday cookies. Each adult starts with one pound of cookie dough of their choice (choose from shortbread, gingerbread, sugar cookies or thumbprints) and if you’re really eager (or just really hungry), you can buy an extra pound of dough for just $10.

  • When: Sunday December 3rd from 1 pm to 3:30 pm and Wednesday December 13th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm
  • Where: The Uncommon Café (477 Powell Street)
  • Price: $45 for adults; $5 for children (maximum two children per adult)

Vancouver Foodster Holiday Market

Let your taste buds be your guide with an evening of eating at the Vancouver Foodster Holiday Market. Exchange your ticket for your Holiday Tasting Passport and menu from Milano Coffee Roasters and then head out to various tasty locations throughout the city for a selection of bites and sips. Eat your fill and meet the chefs as you move from South Granville to False Creek to Kitsilano.

  • When: Wednesday December 6th from 5 pm to 9 pm
  • Where: Various locations; starts at Milano Coffee Roasters (156 West 8th Avenue)
  • Price: $30 + taxes and fees

Burdock & Co New Year’s Eve dinner

Make your last meal of 2017 a delicious one with a New Year’s Eve dinner at Burdock & Co. Choose from a menu of lighter plates before your party with their “New Year’s Lite” seatings or feast into 2018 with a multi-course meal at one of the two later seatings. Pair all that yummy food with your favourite cocktail. Cheers to the new year!

New Year’s Eve at Prohibition

Looking to close out the year with a touch of glamour – and maybe a few cocktails? Ring in 2018 in old-time style at Prohibition at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Modelled after the opulence of 1920s speakeasies, Prohibition makes classic cocktails in an intimate, throwback atmosphere. Featuring live entertainment from COLLEKTIV, this NYE event includes a complimentary glass of champagne when you arrive.
