CATS ONLY!!!! What a brilliant idea!!!!!!!!! The atmosphere is very quiet, simple and even a little homey. Dr. Chivers is awesome. Will 'tell it like it is'. Staff are friendly and helpful. Getting an appt. can be tricky due to one Dr. on-site but they try to accommodate based on need of visit. Follow up is good and I believe they truly love their jobs and taking care of cats only. Ron has helped us on many occasions throughout the years since he has opened the Downsview Vet Clinic. He has treated out FIV cats, he has provided the necessary at home care options that they have needed from time to time. Most recently, we lost our Tuffy cat and he kindly made a donation to the Guelph Animal Sciences fund for continued research for ailing animals which we found very touching and thoughtful. This veterinary clinic is by far the best one we've been to in Oakville. We used to go to another clinic on Upper Middle and switched when our original vet left because we found the replacement vet was trying to push products and procedures on us. This clinic is very honest and the prices are reasonable. The vets are absolutely amazing and you can tell how much they care about the animals they look after. They also don't force anything upon you and tell you when something is only suggested, instead of saying its mandatory. They help you find the most affordable ways to treat your animal and are very accommodating. Dr. Haines is the vet we usually see and not enough good can be said of her. HIGHLY recommend this clinic!
