It’s that time of year again! Restaurateurs from Montreal to Vancouver - via the United States and even Port-au-Prince (!) - are competing to offer very delicious special hamburgers as part of the sixth annual Burger Week. Pastéis de Bacalhau – Cod cake, olive & lemon tapenade, parsley aioli, watercress, ''allumette'' potatoes on a Portuguese bread. $12
Pimp your burger – The Medley Simple Malt ''Pimp'' your Burger is a half pound of seasoned ground beef, served on a custome onion bun and topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion and aioli. All it needs is your touch, so you have to choose : caramelized onions, house smoked cheddar, onion ring, avocado aioli, the legendary bacon jam, BBQ mayo or fried egg. $15
Guinness Fondue Burger - A 1/2lb fire-grilled all beef patty with Guinness cheddar sauce and onion rings on a warm pretzel bun, served with hand cut McKibbin’s fries and homemade creamy coleslaw. $15
Boar Burger - Slow roasted wid boar woodland mushrooms burge garnished with Camembert cheese, arugula and fresh basil on a sesame bun. Served with parmesan home-style fries. 15.75$
Rossini Burger – AAA beef burger, La Canardière foie gras, pan seared mushrooms, truffled jus. $21
The RUBS "Open Face" Burger - An 80/20 8oz AAA angus chuck burger formed into a cup and stuff to the brim with a mixture of aged white and yellow cheddar cheese, homemade bacon bits, a spicy pepper mix of hot Italian peppers and jalapeño peppers and finally a homemade ranch dressing. All Topped off with RUBS’ own bacon bourbon marmalade, tomatoes and lettuce on a toasted bun. For an additional sweet crunch they’ve added a cherry pickle wedge. Sides include home-cut Russet Potatoes and creamy slaw. $18
EBI-IKA - Panko breaded Shrimp and calamari Burger with Avocado jalapeno Crema. It is served only during evening hours. $16
Burger Ho.st – The Burger Ho.st contains a 1/3 pound freshly ground beef patty, blue cheese or old cheddar, thick slices of chewy bacon, red onions marinated in cider vinegar and Hopfenstark's raspberry sour beer as well as tomatoes, lettuce and arugula. Presented on an artisan brioche bread with mayonnaise and a caramelised reduction of raspberry sour beer. The burger is served with fried yucca rings, zesty mayonnaise, german potatoes and a mesclun salad with homemade dressing. 16.50$
Le Sammy Cavallaro – Two 3oz freshly ground beef patties, marinara, pepperoni, pizza mozzarella, fresh basil, garlic butter toasted buns, Parmesan, love. $14
Triple Cheese Burger - Three Aberdeen Black Angus patties smothered with muenster, aged cheddar and fried gouda cheese. Topped with onion strings and parmesan mayo and served on a square brioche roll, with matchstick fries. $28
Black Angus beef patty topped with 10-year old cheddar, boar bacon, homemade ketchup, kosher dill pickle, crispy fried onions, frisée lettuce on a toasted brioche bun. $14
Super Pac Mac Insanity – The famous breaded deep fried mac n’ cheese buns will be served with a fresh Certified Angus Beef 8 oz. beef patty, mustard, red onions, smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, homemade ketchup and drunken slaw, and homemade potato fries. It will also be served with a Kool-Aid Pickle. $19.95
The Impostor - Imagined and conceived by Roland Del Monte, this burger is in fact a frozen and sweet delight! Its succulent sesame brioche uncovers an orange and mango jelly melted on top of a home-made chocolate ice cream patty. It is presented with a side order of homemade churros French fries with red berry ketchup. The final touch: a pickle-style marshmallow. $10
Tiki Burger – Lime and chili seasoned beef patty, lettuce, tomato, cheese, red onion, homemade mango ketchup, brioche bun. Served with fries and homemade nori and yusuf mayonnaise. Garnished with a pineapple wedge and topped with a mini umbrella, naturally. $15
Le Gras Dur Burger – 2 C.A.B beef patties stuffed with peanut butter and Sriracha, cheese, Pretzel bun, wrapped in bacon, fried pogo style and drenched in Nacho Cheese sauce, served with choice of fries or salad. $18
The Big H – In any order : Old style mustard bun, pattie made of ½ beef shoulder, ¼ round beef, ¼ short rib of beef, pastrami of pig neck (Hungarian style), cheese Sorcier de Missisquoi, slice of fried green tomato, Quebec peppers and chilies, chutney, mayo and basil, arugula. $18
HABIBI – Moroccan spiced beef patty laced with lamb merguez & haloumi cheese, grilled eggplant and zucchini, hummus, (pickle, lettuce, tomato) harissa Mayo and fries in the burger, served with green salad and fries. $22.50
Pollo Pica Burger – A nacho crusted Birdbar chicken with smoked bacon & fried garlic salami topped with Pico di Gallo, guacamole, and a smokey chipotle sauce. It’s served with home made spiced tortilla chips and a side of sour cream and smokey chipotle sauce for dipping. $19
Irish Lamb Stew Burger - 7oz lamb burger garnished with a thin corned beef crisp, sharp stout cheddar, and crispy Brussels sprout leaves on a grill-pressed potato bun. Served with a side of Guinness au jus with peas & carrots. $17
Burger bavette – Bavette patty of the day garnished with thyme and rosemary shallots chiselled; deglacé with white wine. Crowned with roquette salad with its mayonnaise dressing fresh cucumbers and beets. $14
Le Jardinier – Mushroom and caramelized onion patty topped with sauteed bell peppers, goat cheese, cucumber and spicy chipotle mayo. All nestled into a soft brioche bun. $15
