This family-run bakery bakes dairy-free, nut-free, kosher products from scratch. Many of their items are also vegan, including brownies, turnovers, squares, cookies, cream-filled croissants, elephant ears, cupcakes and banana chocolate chip muffins. They also make vegan breads and dips. Some of their desserts do contain honey, so check with their educated staff to find out which ones are 100 per cent vegan.

Wild Earth Bakery & Cafe

Known for their killer desserts, this café offers vegan cookies (known as Vegan Bliss) that taste so good you’ll never know they were made without butter and dairy. They also serve a variety of cakes, tarts, muffins, squares and on-the-go treats, such as biscotti, brownies and Rice Krispie swirlies.

This popular café underwent renovations in the fall of 2014 to take over the space next door, doubling the amount of hungry people they can feed. Their fare is vegetarian and vegan, and it’s awesome. They partner with local bakeries to bring in their baked goods, some of which are vegan. The delicious fresh juices and elixirs can also double as dessert.

Located in Sherwood Park, this cute café is a little off the beaten path, but is always worth the trip. Their food is awesome, especially the brunch menu. They use a lot of local suppliers and carry a mix of packaged and fresh treats, some of which are vegan, all of which are delicious. The staff is really good about meeting dietary needs or personal preferences, so just ask them which of the desserts on display that day are vegan.

They offer a variety of vegan desserts, including cupcakes, cookies and raw cheesecakes. Their vegan, gluten-free chocolate brownies are mind-blowingly good –moist, soft and so, so chocolatey. Not every dessert they offer is vegan, but the bigger the Remedy, the more likely that they will have a wide selection of vegan treats. The 124 Street location always has a plethora of vegan cupcakes and slices of cake, including the always-popular chocolate varieties.
