Located downtown at Granville and Smithe, ShuRaku Sake Bar + Bistro is serving up a burger with a Japanese twist for this year’s festival. This truly one-of-a-kind meal – the ShuRaku rice burger – features sautéed slice rib eye with housemade barbecue sauce and panko-crumbed fried lotus roots with jalapeno and chili miso sauce. Note that the restaurant will only be serving this specialty burger at dinnertime.
Experience a little taste of Italy right here in Vancouver by snackin’ on the Little Italy burger at East Side Craft House. Savour the lean ground chuck and chorizo sausage patty, topped with Grana Padano cheese, sweet onion, red pepper relish, baby arugula and tomato on a garlic-toasted bun. Wash it down with one of the several craft beers the restaurant has on tap.
This Commercial Drive joint is serving up The Big Texas for this year’s nationwide celebration of burgers. This Texas-sized burger includes a AAA Angus beef or vegetarian patty, topped with smoky barbecue sauce, crispy onion frits, pepper jack cheese, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, garlic mayo and beet relish. Come hungry!
Located in Mount Pleasant at Main and Broadway, this quaint diner will be offering a unique, delicious and Instagram-worthy burger for this year’s festival. Picture this: locally sourced beef paired with foie gras, a sunny side egg, housemade ‘beef dripping’ mayo, pickles and diced onions.
