From before laptops and smartphones were born, Jean-Marie Jolois was hooked on computers. “My first computer was a Macintosh and I truly fell in love with it,” recalls Jean-Marie, owner of Jolois Consultants Informatiques, a consulting company specializing in every product sold by Apple. “We were in the early days of computers, so it was the first time I was working with an easy and clear interface, unlike the other computers that were all operating on DOS. It was a revolution for me.”
After studying sciences in university, Jean-Marie worked in education for 20 years, during which he was interested in computer science. Being so passionate about it, he pursued to become an expert in computers and helped his peers whenever they had computer problems. In 2000, he left the field of education to launch Jolois Consultants Informatiques.
“The purpose of my business is not selling, but consulting, and this is a very important word for me,” explains Jean-Marie. “That implies a relationship and a transfer of knowledge. It implies the fact of helping my clients to be functional and take control of their computer equipment so they can be efficient.”
