The Dominican Sisters of the Trinity are committed women who responded to the Lord's call to follow him in the ways of the Gospel, under the banner of St Dominic and after their founder, Philomene Labrecque, Mother Marie-de-la-Charity. Mother Mary of Charity performed the first implantation of female Dominican religious life in Canada September 16, 1887, thirteen Dominican tertiary in the Good Shepherd Sisters of Quebec, Catherine Philomene Labrecque, headed were entering the Seminary of Quebec, for and founded the first community of Dominican nuns on Canadian soil. more...
