Boustan is a Montreal staple. You’ll find many a Concordia student (even McGill students sometimes take the trip) flocking to Boustan on Crescent and de Masionneuve for their delicious shawarma sandwiches. Enjoy while on a study break or after a night out at Reggie’s, the Concordia student bar. The place is popular, so expect a line that may go out the door, but moves very quickly.
Montreal’s favorite Lebanese shawarma pusher may have expanded of late, but the original Crescent location is still where it’s at. Get those famous shavings of spit-grilled beef in pita format for $5.25 and find out what all the fuss is about while keeping your bank account happy. A tidbit of advice for Concordia University students: save on food here so you can afford those lattes and mochaccinos.
Because in Lebanon, a sandwich is called a shish taouk and at Boustan, they make it better than anywhere in the city. I almost miss the days when I went out until 3 am and then ate a good shish taouk. Fortunately, Boustan is also open at lunchtime.
