Worst place to buy tires. The guy behind the counter (Allan) is rude and not friendly. Don’t trust this place. I had to go balance my set of new tires (which didn’t look like new) somewhere else.
I can't say enough good things about this place. I was having some serious issues trying to find the right wheel and tire for my camper van. Allan didn't stop until we got it right. Even after an exchange they got the correct wheels and tires for me. All super friendly staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys. They will take all the hassle out of shopping for tires and teach you a thing or two. I'm so happy with my experience here and will be returning for tims for my daily driver. Thanks so much guys
Dealing with the guys at Pickering tire has been a pleasure! I got rims and tires for my Jeep and love them, they needed to order my spare due to the fact that 5 is an odd amount of rims and tires to stock, but they kept me informed and up to date with when things were coming. Very satisfied with their customer service.
Will deal with them again in the future hands down.
I have been a customer at Pickering Tire 'N' Mag since 1999. I love this place. They have been honest and done amazing work for myself and my family for years now.. Today I am writeing this review to let every one know exactly how great these guys are. They have been able to service all my cars from the family mini-van to my 2012 Corvette. They have done everything for me over the years from tire repairs ( that other shops said couldn't be repaired) to serviceing and replacing my RunFlat tires. They also have a nitrogen filling station. The owner Allan, is a great guy to deal with. I first found Pickering Tire when I was watching The lemonaid show on on T.V. Allan was their tire expert. He was able to explain tire tech in a way a non-car guy could understand. I have been a customer for over 10 years and will continue to be for years to come.. Pickering Tire is a perfect 10 out of 10. highly recomended..
I have been a customer with Pickering Tire 'N Mag previously and was happy with the service and price until today.
I purchased 4 new tires from the store on the suggestion of one of the reps there and after install noticed a shake when traveling at a high speed. I returned to the store a few days later and explained my issue thinking it might have been a simple unbalance. The owner immediately went on the defensive and said "Oh so we beep’d up your prefect car?". He added “You buy the crappiest tires on the market and expect it to be good.?” [I have edited out the excessive amount of foul language so this will be posted.] I was taken back and proceeded to try to explain. By this point I had already given him my keys and they were pulling my car into the shop. The argument eventually settled down and i left to grab lunch. When I returned 20 mins later i see my one rim on the floor with chalk marks on it. He proceeded to get belligerent and cursing once again saying that he told me about this when i was in originally. I do not recall being informed of this and when I questioned why it was not on the bill he said "it’s not our job to write this on the bill". That’s odd because everywhere you go to get service on your vehicle they will note anything they mentioned to the customer. They do this for this reason alone.
They proceeded to put my tire back on and returned my vehicle without charge even though he said he was going to charge me for the re-balnace. They did redeem themselves slightly with that.
Now I know sometimes people can have a bad day but to have a business owner treat a loyal customer that way is totally uncalled for.
I leave it up to you to decide if you want to do business with them. It may have been just a one-time thing and I was the unfortunate one to get the brunt of it but I will not be returning my business to them again. I will also be having my vehicle checked over by my mechanic.
This customer was rude to my staff, very belligerent, used fowl language
in front of a female customer with a young child and threatened to "wreck
us on line ". He had been to our store many times before and was rude every time , but he got out of hand this time. We told him when we installed the tires he selected the first time, that he had bent multiple wheels on his car that it would cause a vibration problem. When he returned the next day complaining of a vibration we reminded him he had bent wheels, He denied this was possible, so we rebalanced the tires anyway for him. We marked the worst bent wheel and brought it up front to show him. He suggested that we must have done it. At this point we finished re balancing his tires and wheels and asked him to leave. Until
he could stop being abusive and disrupting and offending other customers. He has since been back to our shop with no other issues.
