My wife and I dined at this restaurant on July 2, 2013 and had a delightful experience. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection, flavored nicely and hot when it arrived at the table. Our server, Denise, was attentive to our every need. We were so pleased that we went back the next and had a similar experience. Our server, Laurie, was also very attentive to our needs. The chef did an outstanding job with the food preparation and presentation. My wife and I live in Phoenix, AZ so we will probably not have the pleasure of dining at this fine restaurant again. We would certainly do so if we returned to this area
This was our seventh restaurant outing celebrating Barrielicious. Restauranteurs offer a special three course menu for $24.99. We always order a bottle of wine for an additional cost. It was a delicious choice. When we arrived for the second seating (of three) at the restaurant, the parking lot was full. We thought we found a wonderful place until we entered. An extension cord was taped to the stairway, a tripping hazard that they put little care towards patron's safety. We also sat on folding chairs at a card table. The food arrived in a timely manner and the waitress was pleasant and informative. The first course was: one portabello stuffed mushroom, for two of the guests; one spinach salad; and one cream of broccoli soup that the waitress said there was not much left and they may have to scrape the bottom of the bowl. The mushroom serving was tasty but thoughts were rather a small portion. The spinach salad was also good and well proportioned for a serving. The soup arrived with woody pieces of broccoli stems. Our main course included three orders of pasta dishes (Roasted Vegetable Fusilli) which arrived with mushy vegetables including carrots and greens that were obviously overcooked, served on top of the undercooked plate of pasta. Two patrons ordered a skewer of shrimp for an additional cost of $8.99. My wife had the Moroccan chicken and rice. The chicken was cold and tasteless and provided a foul after taste as though it had been discarded for awhile. For desert we had two caramel ice cream sundaes and two apple-rhubarb crumbles served in a rather petite glass dish. Overall, this was the worst meal that we had and we will never return! We had to go to the bar to pay because WiFi credit card was not available.
We had a excellent experience at Settlers' Ghost. This was the first time here and we would come again for sure. The Chef did a great job and my steak was cooked perfectly. The food presentation was outstanding. Our server was very good and on the ball. Give it a try...you won't be disappointed!
Worst restaurant meal ever! Salad was tasteless with some kind of watery dressing. Even the lettuce was wrong. The bouillabase was also tasteless and overcooked. The piece of bread the served it with was awful. My partner's fish dish was also tasteless and overcooked. Somebody buy the chef some garlic! I would never, ever eat here again. The dinner was part of a package at the Carriage Ridge Resort. We still had to pay. I think the resort should drop their association with this poor excuse for a restaurant. They chef should be fired.
I would tell friends to visit the resturaunt...It is good compared to many other places on here that are rated higher than they should be!
Food was amazing, crowded on Valentines Day but everyone seemed to be pleased with their food. Server was inexperienced, didn't know how to serve wine. Otherwise, good service.
I had dinner here and i was a little disappointed. I was expecting a tasteful experience with good plate presentation but was served only with minimal bland tasting food. We wouldn't come back or refer to any friends.
My wife and I ordered the pecan chicken and striploin steak. The wine was awful - a little cloudy. The food itself was okay except that the steak was cold when it got to my plate. Ironically enough, our server was actually the manager and she provided us with horrible service. Didn't come to check on us, I ended up waiting ten minutes just to get her attention to return the steak. We waited for another twenty minutes to get her to clear all the dishes away so we could enjoy coffee. We decided not to stay for dessert. When I tried to get her attention she was completely rude about it. I may try the golfing here again, but definitely not the restaurant. If that's the service from the manager, I'd hate to see how the other servers are.
