Waterloo Region is a vital and prosperous area in southern Ontario, about 100 kilometres west of Toronto. The region is made up of three urban municipalities, Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo, and four rural townships, North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich.
