Villa Loyola, under the direction of the Jesuits of Sudbury, was built as a retreat centre in 1962 on 12 acres of land on the south shore of Long Lake. Located in the city's south end, it is only a short drive from Sudbury's downtown core.Over the years, Villa Loyola has become a centre hosting a wide range of religious and lay organizations.
