Elaine and her team did an amazing job with my wedding flowers - they were even better than what I had imagined. And my wedding colour scheme / style was quite unique and difficult to accommodate, so I was very impressed.
DanielleG844 - Just an FYI & a little inside dirt I am a former employee of From the Potting Shed. I worked for Elaine & Anna for just under 4 months when they were located in the Cambridge Mill; YA, there’s a reason they are no longer tied to them & a reason for not being on their preferred vendor list. They owe myself & another ex-co-worker THOUSANDS of dollars. When I first started my employment with them I was a recent graduate of a diploma program & 2 certificates in the related field, and so I can say I have some sense of how to run a business & how to run it successfully, not to mention my countless years of experience in customer service & hospitality industry. The review by SADCOUPLE couldn't be MORE accurate. That business is nothing but "unreliable" & "flaky liars" not only to their customers but also to their employees. It broke my heart & made me sick to know how this business operated. I am a witness & victim of the missed appointments, unfulfilled promises & unreturned phone calls. I cannot tell you how many times I would receive a call from a bride saying she had not heard back from Elaine and/or Anna in weeks. I can even remember a phone call where the Bride wanted to set up her final meeting & they didn't even have her wedding in the calendar!. I could go on for days & share so many different situations about how awful this company is. DanielleG844 be very careful, do your homework & pay attention. While Elaine is great at designing bouquets & telling stories about how wonderful everything is, this is indeed not the case. And yes, I am a sour ex-employee; but imagine if you had a daughter working at a job where she didn't get paid, got taken advantage of & then watched as Elaine hired new employees (whom I'm sure she can't afford to pay.) racked in money from helpless brides, only to disappoint them. Honey, you obviously don't know her real story. I’d hate for you to ruin your reputation also.
Firstly, I was completely miffed when I read that someone had written a horrible review of From The Potting Shed. As a business women and also a wedding planner, I have used Elaine and her team on numerous occasions and also attended many of her workshops and have always been impressed by her charisma, style, grace and professional, friendly approach. She is the queen of over-delivering and goes out of her way to make sure that everything is beyond perfect. Having moved from Toronto, it is nice to see great talent landing in the small town. I feel that she is one of the 'Best of the Best' in the area and always recommend her to my Brides because I know she will deliver an exceptional product. I deal with Brides all the time and when I read a review that is negative, it is usually due to unreal expectations OR usually a negative review is written by a sour ex-employee. You know who you are. Tisk tisk. Bad on you. I can't recommend Elaine and her team enough. They are fantastic. They never disappoint....ever.
These people are train wrecks. Elaine and her team are unreliable, flaky liars. Our wedding experience was full of missed appointments, unfulfilled promises, unreturned phone calls, rudeness, frustration and heartbreak. We were without some promised features on our wedding day and promises of refunds were unreturned for months. It was a blemish on our wedding day and I warn anyone having a wedding in Waterloo Region to AVOID.
