I would have to say that the food wasn't anything particularly special...but it wasn't bad. Just nothing praise-worthy is all.
As for the service...it too was alright. I give it a 5 based on one member of my party having issues with the waitress. While I felt she was being fairly sociable...in a teasing/Flo from the dinner series Alice back in the 70's kind of way...he didn't seem to find it as amusing. That said...she was by no means abusive, just "folksy".
There seem to be two things really against this diner though. 1) Location. It is VERY difficult to get in and out of the parking lot for this restaurant due to two factors...first...its right at the corner of a major intersection/off-ramp junction on the busiest street in Barrie (Bayfield) and 2) For some unknown reason when they built the driveway entry from the street...they must have figured everyone in Barrie drives a monster truck. The slope leading into the parking lot is so steep that unless you drive a car with 16 inch wheels and a lift kit added to your suspension...YOU WILL HEAR SCRAPING of the underside of your front end as you turn into it.

I like the food at this place. You get a lot when your order something. The waitress was nice but she wasn't too fast. As soon as we walked in the door it was packed. Would be a lot better if it was bigger.

This is the second time I tried to eat breakfast at this establishment. None of the staff acknowledged that we were standing waiting to be seated. I realized that it was busy but the staff chose to ignore us completely.
Very poor customer service ie. people skills.
