on the 27th of july I had another moving company booked to move me out of my 3 bedroom home into my new 2 bedroom condo at 830 in the morning.
On the evening of the 26th I received a phone call from them saying that regretfully they had over booked and were unable to move me the next day, they layered on the apologies, a lot of good that did me.
I was stuck because I needed to be out by the morning of the 28th, so I franticly began calling around only to find that everyone was booked due to it being the end of the month and all.
I called 2burlymen and scott answered. he listened to my story and was very sympathetic, He had all of his guys out on the 27th too and could only offer me a 6pm spot which would mean that the move would stretch into the night, but told me that him and his guys are willing to work until the job is done and assured me that they would not leave me stranded again.
The next day I received a call at 530 from a gentleman letting me know that they were done there other moves for the day and were ready to come to my home.
The gentlemen that showed up were clearly tired from their long day they have already had but still remained pleasant and energetic.
They laid blankets over everything and sealed it with that plastic they have, I have moved three times before and none of those times have the movers taken such good care of my belongings.
They got me moved in a timely manor, yet still a late one through no fault of their own, and even showed concern, wanting to make sure that everything was in its proper place before they left.
These are the movers I should have called in the first place.
2 burly men were a big help
Hired these guys in a pinchy situation and was completely impressed right off the bat when the call guy gave me info on ways to save myself time and money. You usually have to do that kind of stuff on your own. The movers were quick, efficient and very skilled in organizing the stuff and utilizing the spaces they were working with.
They were friendly, professional and offered me an unbeatable price (IMO) compared to anyone else out there. I asked for 2 burley men and I think I got 2 burley angels, completely saved the day for me..thank you:)
I used 2 Burley Men movers recently when I needed to vacate a basement suite that didn't come with heat control. They were very accommodating in fitting me in at the last minute! They offered me tips on where to store my belongings that would be most cost effective. Their compassionate and caring attitude was a great support in dealing with my situation. They were very careful with all of my fragile pieces and fit everything into storage like a puzzle. I wanted to help move things along so I decided to take off the small door to fit my couch out. If there was a scratch left behind then it was of no fault by the movers. They were not Rude and Unhelpful but rather a delight to be around. I would HIGHLY recommend using their services!!
When the tenants moved out of our lower level suite they used 2 Burley Men to move their stuff. They had a big couch and so the movers decided to take off the door to fit it through. Afterwards I noticed the door doesn't hang properly or shut properly. The door frame was badly scratched and damaged. I phoned the company to determine what happened and asked for information. The owner told me to contact the tenants and then just hung up!! I phoned back and he just hung up again!! It was the company that took off the door. I thought at least he could come have a look at the damage if nothing else. The owner was so rude and unhelpful I would never use their services.
