Playing with scissors can actually be a good thing, with the right training. With some persuasion from his uncle, Maher Chehade took up the scissors and gave the hair industry a chance.
“I want to take care of people, and that’s what I want my shop to be like,” says Maher. “I want the shop to have positive energy and good vibes. I’m a very happy kind of guy and I want to make other people happy.”
A former bartender, Maher decided it was time for a change, so he enrolled in hairdressing school along with his brother, Maged. Soon afterwards, the brothers opened South Trail Crossing Barbershop together.
While spas and salons tend to cater mostly to women, South Trail Crossing Barbershop is tailored to a male clientele. “Of course, we can give great service to ladies with short hair and gentlemen with any length of hair (including long hair), but we don't do the fancier stuff with a lady’s hair,” says Maher.
Awesome team, always professional service to all customers. The other day I was chilling and Mike gave me a comb for free. Zohon is really good guy. They know what they are doing and play cool beats. Nice place to chill, ill always go back.
I dropped in for the first time and wasn't sure what to expect. From the sports themed decor to the attention to detail from the barbers, everything was top notch. The edging with the razor was something I've never experienced before. I will definitely be back.
These guys are on top of their game. Every time I leave I feel like a million bucks. I look great, my wife digs my always-manicured beard, and life generally rocks every time I get a shave.
Mike, Darren, Zohan, Leo, Abe, Maged, and Maher have all shaped my beard. Maher even taught me how to properly shave my neck so I don't get irritation all the time. In my visit today Mike gave ma few more pointers to keep me looking fresh.
