I love eau claire, great place to catch a movie or walk around with friends and check out the neat stores. A great place to go spend some time and money with friends or on a date. Very cool mall in the city.
Nothing says Canada Day like a fleet of food trucks and free ice cream cones, the latter of which will be presented to the first 1,000 guests at Eau Claire Market’s July 1 celebrations. In its outdoor courtyard you’ll find an artisan market, live musical entertainment, beer garden and tasty truck treats. Children’s activities include a petting zoo, face painting, and temporary tattoos. Admission is free. Hours: 11 am to 9 pm; children’s activities 11 am to 4 pm.
Celebrating two decades of food and fun just a stone’s throw from the Bow River, Taste of Calgary takes place in Eau Claire Market’s Festival Plaza from August 11 to 14. Midway-style ticketing permits attendees to ride a roller coaster of snacks and beverages by a wide assortment of city restaurants. The event features a live music stage and, fingers crossed, plenty of delicious sunshine. Admission is free. Food and beverage tickets, $1 each.
